classic tomato sauce

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
6 cloves garlic, peeled
1 28oz can of tomatoes, diced or whole
1 cup basil leaves
1/3 cup siggi’s plain skyr
Salt and pepper
Preparation
In a large saucepot over medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic. Cook the garlic cloves until they turn golden brown on all sides. Add the can of tomatoes and stir. Cook the tomatoes over medium heat until the sauce is reduced by about one-third, about 20 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and add the basil leaves and siggi’s skyr. Stir to combine. Carefully transfer the sauce to a blender and blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
